Dec 31, 2023 · The Atari 2600+ use Retroarch so does not have all the settings that Stella has because it uses a core(a copy of the main emulator) and plus its 3rd party if you think about it so made by the Retroarch Team not the Stella Team so somethings that are added to Stella is not added to Retroarch core straight way or even if they are and a Retroarch core is not the same as using Stella the Emulator ...
Please does anyone have a list of their preferred core to use for each system on retroarch? would be very grateful, even if you just say 'n64 - mugen' or whatever, for any cores you actually use. setting up dev mode and redoing all my playlists once and for all, hopefully.

Nov 4, 2024 · If you want to always use 640x240p, start the core, and let it create the configs, if using per core settings, open the stella cfg and retroarch.cfg, look for the setting video_vres = "38" and set it to 19.
The presentation floored me when I got it correct. I like highlighting individual games and series and its impossible to do with giant rom playlist. However that took me 4 yrs of reading to get to. But if you want a true console experience you have to use Lakka/Retroarch. I don't think any other frontend is this flexible.
