Depends on the POV, they sort of “slot” after one another :) ie, Harry’s perspective is on the three years before Hogwarts, Hermione’s is on the summer before 1st year, Ron’s is on the first term, Malfoy’s is on the second, and Ginny’s on the summer before her 1st year.
One of my favourites, Harry Potter and the Problem About Potions!! Harry isn't exceptionally smart, but definitely uses his head more and he is obsessed with potions. Very well written and doesn't lean too hard into any tropes. Every still feels pretty canon and in character, especially Snape and Voldemort.
