When you're running 100m, there's not much of a need to have a lot of padding underfoot and the Nike Zoom Superfly Elite doesn't add on unnecessary cushioning to bring up the overall weight of the shoe.

The lack of any cushioning besides a somewhat thick insole encourages a very forefoot strike, as does the plate. If you are a heel striker in training, this may not be for you.
