I took one colloquial arabic class and it’s pretty different. Having Arab friends and visiting the middle east has made me realize that I should work on my colloquial arabic if I want to have conversations. Are there any good TV shows that I can watch to maintain the little arabic I have?
Dialects are exclusively spoken languages. You don't write them. MSA is the written language. You'll never find dialect subs displayed on any Arabic channel. Netflix probably does it on some shows to attract Arabic learners. These kind of subs are completely useless to Arabs.

I've found that some Arabic dramas have actors with different backgrounds. For example, the series itself can be made by Kuwait, but have Levant as the place of action, main heroine as Egyptian, and other actors from Syria and Saudi Arabia. Does it mean that all these actors will speak each own dialect?
