    Production jobs in the film industry are professionals who conduct the creation of and actual filming on a set. These jobs are required from a film's beginning through the end stages. When actors are performing their scenes, production professionals are ensuring they're capturing everything from the sound, the lighting and the facial expressions of the actors. There are several roles that contribute to recording a scene for a film, such as the casting, camera, lighting and sound crew. They can work individually to capture what they need and work together to ensure it's cohesive and logical.There are three types of film production phases which are:

    •Preproduction: This is when creators are in the beginning stages of producing the film. In this stage, it includes creating the script, casting the actors and determining the film's budget.

    •Production: In this stage, actors are performing their scenes while the camera crew captures them with their equipment. This also involves the sound and lighting crew while listening to the director as they oversee the entire operations.

    •Post-production: This is when the filming has concluded and the editing begins. During this stage is when professionals choose the soundtrack, create the trailer and add special effects throughout the film.

    1. Actor

    National average salary: $23,979 per yearPrimary duties: An actor is a professional who uses their acting skills to audition for roles and portray characters as the screenwriters, directors and producers desire. Before filming a scene, they practice their lines and interpret the dialogue and stage directions. Once prepared and memorized, they can perform their role on camera individually or with their fellow actors. These professionals can improvise when necessary for their roles, such as for reaction shots. They might improvise these because it might evoke a more natural reaction that can enhance a scene and improve the overall film.

    National average salary: $27,395 per yearPrimary duties: Film crews are professionals who work together in a group to assist the production team. There are various roles an individual in this position can occupy, such as technicians, creatives and other artists like a set designer or painter. The goal of this role is to ensure the production team is operating efficiently and effectively. Their roles can vary depending on the production team and the film crew roles required for a particular film.

    3. Fashion consultant

    National average salary: $29,646 per yearPrimary duties: A fashion consultant is a professional who helps develop personal styles for their clients using personal styles and current fashion trends. In the film industry, this professional can help develop unique styles that are personal to the individual characters in the film.
