Sep 20, 2024 · Geoff Barrow is an English musician, producer, and composer. He is a full-time member of the bands Portishead and BEAK>. He has composed scores for films such as Ex Machina, Free Fire, and Annihilation. Alongside founding independent label Invada Records based out of the heart of Bristol.
Dummy earned near-instant unanimous acclaim in the U.K., including the Mercury Music Prize. Soon after winning that award, Barrow began work on Portishead’s second, self-titled album, which surfaced in 1997 and was followed by the live album PNYC. The band went on hiatus in 1999, allowing Barrow more time to work on other projects.
Geoffrey Paul Barrow (born 9 December 1971) [1] is an English music producer, composer, and DJ. He is a member of the bands Portishead, Beak, and Quakers, and he has scored several films. Portishead was formed in 1991. He named the band after the small coastal town near Bristol where Barrow grew up. [2]
