Sep 27, 2024 · Beak> have announced that founding member Geoff Barrow will be exiting the band following their 2024 UK/EU tour and an as-yet-unannounced early 2025 US tour. The experimental band, which Barrow founded in 2009 alongside Billy Fuller and Matt Williams (who was eventually replaced by Will Young), will go on an indefinite hiatus as they complete their final shows.
Geoff Barrow is leaving Beak>, the band he co-founded, in 2009, after Portishead released Third. The band will complete its forthcoming tour dates , in Europe and North America, before Barrow moves on to rest his “dodgy ankle” and focus on other projects, including his debut feature film, due later this year.
