Single Controller Styles
Single controller setups are designed to be played with a hand on the center grip and the other hand on one of the outer grips. While having a hand on the right grip is the most popular setup all of these styles are designed to be playable using either configuration.
Dual Controller Styles
Dual controller style are designed to be played with a hand on the center grip of each controller. They allow for analog movement, turning, looking, and strafing whereas only two of those can be available at a time on a single controller.
In the XBLA remaster, only dual analog control styles are available.
1.1 JinxThis setting is the default setting, it is named after Giacinta 'Jinx' Johnson from Die Another Day.
1.2 ChristmasThis setting is named after Christmas Jones from The World Is Not Enough.
1.3 FrostThis setting is named after Miranda Frost from Die Another Day.

There are special button combinations that function regardless of which control style has been selected.
•Reverse Weapon Selection: Press the fire button while the weapon button is held down. Bond will switch through weapons backwards.
•Faster Firing: Press the weapon button repeatedly while the fire button is held. This is especially useful with any semi-automatic weapon (pistols, for example).
•Alternative Detonator: Press the weapon and action buttons together while remote mines are the active weapon (can be pressed in even if weapon button is pressed first or if action button is pressed first). Any mines Bond has placed will be detonated immediately. In the XBOX re-release the required button combination is A+Y.
Just start the game so you are playing it, then press START on the N64 to bring up the ingame menu, and press left or right to go to the options screen to see/choose the controls.

With a Raphnet N64 adapter + GameCube controller, you could remap the buttons to something a lot more sensible, per My Life in Gaming’s video. Get 2 controllers for the TRUE top-tier mode. There were a lot of control setups. A popular one puts movement on the C buttons, and you aim with the stick.
