Graduation is another strong effort from Cristian Mungiu that further dissects the complicated social ethos of Romania. Compared to Mungiu's masterpiece 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days, Graduation is visibly less hard-hitting thematically, this time focusing on the misfortune of a Romanian middle class family, who have to individually grapple with the moral dilemmas the society throws at them.
