Greenland is very similar in tone and quality to the band's 1993 career highlight Kerosene Hat – it's vast and sprawling and covers a multitude of musical styles. Primarily, Greenland can be classified as country rock – with the emphasis on the rock - but with some Middle Eastern, Far Eastern and Jamaican touches that lift it way above the competition.

Cracker is an American rock band formed in 1990 by lead singer David Lowery and guitarist Johnny Hickman. The band's first album Cracker was released in 1992 on Virgin Records ; it included the single " Teen Angst (What the World Needs Now) ", which went to #1 on the U.S. Modern Rock chart.

This is a much more mature album, Dave even mentions that he's gotten older in the lyrics. The songs rock, they roll, they fit like a well worn glove. They've stretched out on this one, more control, more emphasis, more determination. Like Dylan they have delivered something completely different and completely Cracker.
