  2. H. Nigel Thomas. BIO. Biography. H. Nigel Thomas emigrated from St. Vincent and the Grenadines in 1968. He now lives in the Greenfield Park suburb of Montreal. He is a graduate of Concordia University, McGill University, and Universite de Montreal. Until 2006 he was professor of US literature at Universite Laval.

Shortly after my arrival Montreal in 1968, I studied psychiatric nursing for two years at Douglas Hospital. I worked part-time as a mental health worker while attending Concordia University: 1969-1975, and McGill University: 1975-1976.
