Habib ur Rahman (1913–1978) was an army officer in the Indian National Army (INA) who was charged with "waging war against His Majesty the King Emperor". He served as Subhas Chandra Bose 's chief of staff in Singapore, and accompanied Bose on his alleged last fatal flight from Taipei to Tokyo, sharing the last moments of his life. [ 1 ]
I am inclined to believe that Rahman Khan was actually a British spy and agent planted in INA under the confusion of battles, retreats, and defections bang in the middle of WWII. His ultimate aim was assassination of Bose, and this he carried off. The Red Fort trial was mere eyewash, and he was never punished as per the judgment.

Habibur Rahman Usmani (1860–1929), also written as Habibur Rahman Deobandi and Maulāna Habib al-Rahmān, was an Indian Islamic scholar, Arabic writer and poet, and an Islamic jurist. He served as Deputy Vice-Chancellor, then Vice-Chancellor for the VC Office of Darul Uloom Deoband, for nearly twenty-three years.
