Hamburger Concerto is the fourth studio album by the Dutch progressive rock band Focus, released in April 1974. It peaked at No. 20 on the UK charts. [2] The title track is based on Variations on a Theme by Haydn by Johannes Brahms.
The music is complex, fluid, energetic, and frantic, and nicely contrasts with the opening track. At this point, however, the album has yet to full engross my attention and trust; while overall exciting, the rhythm can be a bit repetitive, a la Second Spasm from Gryphon's RQTG3.
