  3. Jan 1, 2003 · This is a level 1 book with easy words and short sentences. My 4-year-old loves reading the "Noodles" series. They always seem to be about Noodles struggling with something and then finding a way to overcome it. The one thing I didn't like in this book is that he tells himself "I can't do anything. I'm useless." Thankfully, he didn't quit.
