Homerton College is a constituent college of the University of Cambridge. Its first premises were acquired in Homerton , London in 1768, by an informal gathering of Protestant dissenters with origins in the seventeenth century.

Homerton College. Homerton is both the largest and the newest College in the University. With a 250-year history, for much of which we were an acclaimed teacher training college, we received our Royal Charter in 2010 and now offer every subject at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
The last years of the 18th century and beginning of the 19th were a golden age for Homerton College, producing some of the nation’s foremost dissenting figures, including the radical MP William Johnson Fox, and more than its fair share of missionary explorers and translators.
