This legislation amends An Act to amend the Criminal Code (medical assistance in dying) to provide that persons are not eligible, until March 17, 2027, to receive medical assistance in dying if their sole underlying medical condition is a mental illness.

This enactment grants the sum of $20,678,755,329 towards defraying charges and expenses of the federal public administration for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2024 that are not otherwise provided for.
