May 27, 2022 · Without HUD, I reached the save, saved, exited the game, turned off compatibility mode, turned HUD back on in the game settings. The phone rang, the game didn't crash. Which of these 3 points helped, I have no idea, do the same just in case :)

This article was poorly researched. The mod that he links to and the video he links to are two different mods actually. The mod shown in the video is made by Surya926 on GTAForums and is based on the Vice City engine, while the mod linked on ModDB is based on the San Andreas engine, and by the looks of it they probably stole some files from the former mod.
