- God Promises to Gently Lead Those with Young Children. Isaiah 40:11 says, “He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.”
- When We Are Faithful to Do His Good Work, God Promises Good Eesults. Galatians 6:9 says, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
- He Knows Them BEST, and Wants the BEST for Them. Luke 12:7 tells us not to fear because God even knows how many hairs you have on your head. I love how personal this verse is.
- God Promises a Good Ending for Us All. Life can be hard. As a parent the “problem of evil” can become an overwhelming issue that makes it hard to trust that we serve a good God.
Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother” (this is the first commandment with a promise), “that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land.” Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

While I hate to be the bearer of bad news, this struggle to trust God in all things, specifically with your children, doesn’t end once they become adults. My children are out of the nest. While I can’t give them credit for full-on “adulting” just yet 一 in graduate school, still on our insurance, etc. 一 they’re good kids moving forward in a positive way.
