May 27, 2017 · The war of your mind is not a passive activity, but an active, vigorous fight, fought with the power of God and spiritual weapons made available to us through the gospel. As the Spirit makes the truths of Jesus known to you, you must hold fast to them (1 Corinthians 15:2), take cover in them, and learn to proactively fight with them.
- Stand in Truth. It’s so easy to feel overwhelmed and panicky when you are faced with fighting inner demons. But you don’t have to be; you don’t have to accept these thoughts.
- Praising God. When fighting spiritual battles, you can triumph through praising God. When the lies, doubts, insecurities, fears, worries, and discouragement come, start praising him.
- Stay in the Word of God. When the inner battle feels so intense, remember to stay in the word of God. “Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.”
- Keep Praying. In winning the battle in your mind, prayer is essential. “Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise.”

Spiritual warfare involves unseen spiritual entities—both good and bad—and they are violently opposed.
The battle for your mind is real, but you don’t have to fight it alone. God has given you everything you need to stand firm and live in victory. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us that we are in a spiritual battle, but through Christ, we have the power to overcome the enemy’s lies and fill our minds with God’s truth.
