In the end, Ron says that she “completely missed the point”. In the last paragraph, it is said that Harry didn’t want to contradict Ron, but that he thinks Hermione knows much better what this was about.

JKR really sets up Ron's crisis of faith in Harry early in the book, where he confronts Harry over his treatment of Ginny. Not Harry, with whom she had a closer friendship. And indeed it was Ron who did, albeit too late. In GoF, the whole Hermione-Krum part is left somehow cloudy in the books.
