Oct 27, 2024 · Despite the Dukes outshooting the Aurora Tigers 43-25, the hosts rolled to a 6-3 victory thanks to a fast start and continued to stay upstream against Wellington. Three early Aurora goals got past the Dukes in about a three-and-a-half minute span from Andreas Mikrogiannakis, Tristen Aben and Simon Howard in the first half of the opening frame.
The North Bay Skyhawks defeated the Fort William North Stars in the semi-final to meet the Aurora Tigers in the DHC final. The final, to determine a berth to the Royal Bank Cup 2004, ended up in a decisive 5–1 victory for the Tigers.
After defeating Denver in the Wild Card round, Indianapolis in the Divisional round, and finally Baltimore in the Conference round, the Rebels eventually make it to the championship game held in Arizona in a rematch with the Dukes.
