I am moving to the Elmira area this year and I know very little about it. I'll be working at Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Proximity to there would be nice, but I don't want to live in an unsafe area just to be in walking distance. I am single, no dependent, mid-twenties asian female.
You may like W. Water St. Closer to downtown for walkability, closer to West Elmira for more quiet and better neighbors. Unsolicited advice: without a car, at least get a bike. Many people get by on that. Elmira is a goofy town, and if you have a sense of humor about it, you'll do well here.
