ODJFS offers two methods of payment for unemployment benefits. When you file your application, you can choose to have benefits paid by direct deposit (to your checking or savings account) or by debit card. You can receive benefits by direct deposit whether you file on a weekly or biweekly basis.
If you are unemployed through no fault of your own, you may be eligible for unemployment benefits. Click below to start the process, or log into an existing account.
The online initial application takes about 25 minutes. You will need to file a new claim if you have not applied for unemployment benefits at any time in the past 12 months. Your application is not filed until you receive a confirmation number.
Applying online is the quickest way to start receiving unemployment benefits. Use our step-by-step guide or our Online Filing Instructions to help you apply for benefits and access or create an OH|ID account.
