Click Home tab Draw panel Curves drop-down CreateReverse Or Compound Curve Find. Select the arc object nearest the end to which the new compound or reverse curve is to be attached. Specify whether to create a Reverse or Compound curve. As many you asked, how do you layout a compound curve? Also the question is, how do you create a transition curve ...
A compound curve is formed by the combination of two circular curves of different radii curving in the same direction. A reverse curve is formed by the combination of two circular curves with opposite curvatures. A common transition curve may be provided between the two circular curves of a reverse curve.
You can draw a clothoide (Euler spiral, Cornu spiral, Track transition curve) – a smooth transition between an arc and a straight segment using the LISP utility KLOT, see Download. Load it with APPLOAD, start the KLOT command and pick the endpoints of an arc and line. The application will draw the clothoid-transition.
The cubic parabola is a simple function of the form of y = f(x) and is based on the acknowledgment that its length is equal to its projection on axis X. Clothoid is a transition curve in the form of x = f(l), y = f(l), having as main characteristic the linearity of curvature variation versus its length.
A compound curve is two or more simple curves which have different centers, bend in the same direction, lie on the same side of their common tangent, and connect to form a continuous arc.
PC = point of curvature.PT = point of tangency.PI = point of intersection.PCC = point of compound curve.Answer: The different types of curves are Simple curve, Closed curve, Simple closed curve, Algebraic and Transcendental Curve.
A compound curve consists of two or more simple curves having different radii bending in the same direction and lying on the same side of the common tangent. Their centres lie on the same side of the curve.

This will allow for the curved top to be planar. You can also enjoy the benefits of a multi-layered wall.

Enter degree of curve (Arc), or [Chord]: Enter the degree of curve in DD.MMSS format using the Arc or Chord option. Use the Chord option if the curve is a railway curve. For a railway curve, the degree of curve is the angle at the center of a circular curve subtended by a chord of 100 units. Use the Arc option if the curve is a roadway curve.
