Apr 14, 2019 · I would try a reinstall first. And no, you will not lose any data. By the way, Opera doesn't offer personal support. Opera just updated from 58 to 60. But now it crashes several seconds after launching saying one of the resource pak files is corrupt and I need to reinstall opera.
All of a sudden Opera GX is, upon launch, claiming there is allegedly a corrupted pak file and telling me to reinstall the browser. It's preventing me from interacting with anything besides clicking 'Ok' on the popup which closes the program, despite the browser obviously still working because it's loading all my tabs just fine.

Uninstall Opera again. This time, after uninstalling, see if its program files folder still remains. If so, delete the folder. Then, reinstall. Is it because I shut down my laptop while it is open. I wouldn't think that'd corrupt the installation files. But, you can test by closing Opera before shutting down to see if the problem goes away.
