First, you need to navigate to your Steam folder. It is located in "C:\Program Files (x86)" by default. Right-click the Steam folder and hit "Properties."
Mar 7, 2009 · Hello, Fiddler is working smoothly on the same machine, that's why I'm concerned about this issue. Fiddler is configured to use the default System Proxy (via a PAC file) and old versions of FiddlerCap were working with no issues, unfortunately I can't troubleshoot it.

Aug 18, 2017 · This started happening about an hour ago: Every time I launch Steam, this messagebox appears. Every time I click "Install Service" and then the login interface appears. Clicking the shortcut to Steam doesn't launch Steam; the link doesn't work, so I have to open the EXE file itself [manually] in its installation directory.

Oct 25, 2020 · - Reinstalling Steam, to keep installed games, head to where you install Steam, delete everything there expect these two things only, "Steamapp" folder, and Steam.exe file, once you have done this launch Steam, and test to see if issue resolved.
