I'm a frequent user of Opera GX, but whenever my nvidia graphics drivers are updated (GTX 950), if I have hardware acceleration turned on (for features such as globe mode on Google Maps), Opera GX will go completely black (the entire window, not just content).
Opera randomly freezes (usually when i alt-tab to it), the screens become unresponsive, and then they become dark. The only way to get out of this is reset my PC. Stress-tested this configuration for hours, GPU&CPU. It's definetly NOT hardware related.
Download the Opera GX installer, launch it, click "options", set "install path" to your existing GX install folder so that the button says "upgrade", review the other options and choose "upgrade". If that doesn't work, make sure there are no GX processes in the task manager again.
