- For bookings beginning January 1, 2025, guests must cancel their reservation at least eight days in advance to receive a full no-penalty refund. If you’ve booked your stay using Disney Vacation Club points, consult with DVC member services directly regarding cancelation rules and penalties.
There are restrictions for canceling or modifying a Disney Vacation Club Resort reservation. For example, if you cancel or modify your reservation 1 to 30 days before your Check-In date, your Vacation Points will be placed in a Holding Account, which may limit future flexibility.
Availability at Disney Vacation Club Resorts can only be checked through access to a Disney Vacation Club Membership - but don't worry! Our Vacation Coordinators are able to check it for you. The DVC has its own separate inventory, and so DVC availability will not appear on Disney's website.
As a member you have three ways to turn your unused points into cash: Rent out an existing reservation you will not be using. Claim a Custom Request from the listings page made by a renter and make a reservation per their request. Transfer points from your current Use Year to another member.

If your reservation was secured on or after March 18th, 2024, you can contact us by email on team@dvcrequest.com to let us know you would like to ‘defer the dream’ and cancel your booking.
