- If you are at least 31 days out from your check-in date when you cancel the trip, and you used points from your current Use Year, the points are simply returned to the current Use Year. You can still bank them as long as you have not surpassed your banking deadline.

Jun 3, 2009 · When you book that trip, you can "pay" for it with banked points from the UY prior to the trip, points from the UY of the trip, and borrow points for the UY after the trip. If one has to cancel the trip, then everything will be returned to the account in the way it was as part of the reservation...so banked and borrowed points will remain ...

Sep 3, 2024 · If you cancel a trip that was reserved with one-time-use points at least 31 days out, they will return to the current Use Year. Note that one-time-use points can’t be banked, borrowed, or transferred, so you have to make sure you use them before they expire.
Jun 5, 2020 · I booked a July 28 2020 trip with borrowed points from my Oct 2020 use year. I know there were changes made regarding point refunds because of covid. If I understand correctly, if I cancel because the resorts were still closed, my points would go back to the borrowed year (Oct 2020).
