How it works: Tap your PRESTO card, PRESTO Ticket, debit or credit card (including cards loaded on in a mobile wallet) on a card reader when you enter a subway station or board a vehicle. Your fare will be deducted and a transfer will be applied to your card or ticket.
I get a free transfer with my local transit agency, even though they don't use PRESTO. Will I still get a free transfer?
Transfers are free and must be obtained where you pay your fare. Customers can take advantage of the TTC’s two-hour transfer when they pay their fare using a PRESTO card, PRESTO Ticket, debit or credit card (including the cards loaded in your mobile wallet).
Your discount will be applied when you tap to transfer to a participating connecting transit agency. It may be a free transfer, or a discounted fare depending on which agency you are traveling with.
Transfer for free when you tap a valid physical PRESTO card, PRESTO in Google Wallet or Apple Wallet, or credit/debit card on a PRESTO device when you connect to or from GO Transit with Burlington Transit. PRESTO will automatically apply the discount to your PRESTO, credit, or debit account.
Customers paying with a PRESTO card, PRESTO in Google Wallet, debit or credit card (physical or one in a mobile wallet) will be able to transfer for free between the TTC, Brampton Transit, Durham Region Transit, MiWay and York Region Transit, thanks to Ontario’s new One Fare Program.
