While still in desktop mode, go to your Steam library and click the + in the bottom left to add non-steam game to library. Anything you download from Discover should show up in this list to add. Steam calls everything "games" but there's nothing stopping them from just being normal programs like music players or web browsers or whatever.
Jun 15, 2023 · There are decisions that I don't understand. What was wrong with the music player? I see so many comments saying that we can use the Windows player, Winamp and so on but they miss the point. While in game you could use the overlay to play music without having to alt tab. That is a luxury now gone.
Then open your game and from the Steam in-game overlay choose the songs you want to play (The icon for browsing your music library looks like 6 tiny squares).
