Oct 9, 2024 · AutoCAD 2D drawings are commonly drawn in model space at a 1:1 scale (full-size). In other words, a 12-foot wall is drawn at that size. The drawings are then plotted or printed at a plot "scale" that accurately resizes the model objects to fit on paper at a given scale such as 1/8" = 1'.
Oct 25, 2024 · Using the SCALE (Command) Type LINE on the command line and press Enter. Draw a line that is the desired length the image reference length should be then press Enter. Ex : a door would be 3'0", so draw a line that is 3'0". This will be scaled reference line.

Jun 24, 2021 · To insert a PDF, go to the Insert tab and in the Import section click PDF Import. Once imported, measure a known dimension to check the size. For this example, the distance between the 2 lines is measuring 177.12mm when it should measure 44mm. Click Scale, select the object and press Enter.
