This guide will show you how to select the graphics card OBS is running on using the native control panel from NVIDIA. It is valid if you are running Windows 7, Windows 8 or Windows 10 prior to version 1903. If you run Windows 10 1903 or newer, use this guide instead.
Go to the encoder tab in OBS settings & toggle the advanced version from the pulldown menu at the very top. Then, at the bottom should be an option for which GPU. You'll probably have to experiment to see which GPU your laptop considers #0 & #1 - if it's the integrated one or the Nvidia one.
You can manually select the GPU that the browser source is run on by following the appropriate instructions for your version of Windows (follow the guide specific to your GPU if you have Windows 10 1809 or older), and adjusting the settings for obs-browser-page.exe.

My main GPU is faulty, so I have my display plugged into the integrated cpu on my motherboard. OBS however still thinks my actual gpu should be used, and only produces a black screen to capture. In the settings I can't find a way to change this, is there a way?
