The Water Science School likes to make life easier for teachers. Here we offer teacher guides with lesson plans and students worksheets complete with answers that can aid teachers in helping their students learn about water.
In this one-hour-long activity, students will watch a short documentary describing issues related to clean water availability, analyze water-use data and start to think about how they consume and can conserve water.
Students teach each other about four potential effects of water scarcity: poor health, increased hunger, perpetual poverty, and stunted education. "Handwashing Hang-Ups" explores the challenges of keeping hands clean and preventing diseases without running water.
