Walking through those arches and into Hogsmeade never gets old. From the snowy rooftops to the overflowing cups of Butterbeer to the towers of Hogwarts castle itself, walking ...
- Don’t Try Doing It All in One Day. If you have one day to spend in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, you can get the majority of things done, while enjoying the rest of the theme park attractions.
- Remember to Pack Your Robe and Wand. It’s not every day you can wander the streets of Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley like a real witch or wizard. Make sure to add your robe, wand, and any other Harry Potter apparel or accessories to your packing list for some real epic pics.
- Arrive Early and Stay Late. Try to get there first thing in the morning for fewer crowds. (If you’re staying at a Universal hotel, definitely take advantage of the Early Park Admission perk!)
- Ride the Hogwarts Express Both Ways. Hop aboard the Hogwarts Express and travel back and forth between Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade. Make sure to take it both ways as each way has a different experience.
- Dedicate a Day to Each Side of the Wizarding World. In order to make guests really feel immersed in the world, there is SO much to do in Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley that they could easily take you a full day each.
- Take Advantage of the Hogwarts Express. We PROMISE that the Hogwarts Express isn’t just for show, even though she is a beaut. During the days that you do want to visit both parks, the Hogwarts Express will drop you off in the center of either Diagon Alley or Hogsmeade so you don’t have to walk around the entirety of Universal Studios or Universal’s Island of Adventure to go from one part of the Wizarding World to the other.
- Treat Yourself to an Interactive Wand. Although they can be a bit on the pricier side, the Interactive Wands are WORTH IT for Harry Potter fans since they unlock an entirely unique experience in the Wizarding World!
- There Isn’t Just ONE Form of Butterbeer. This is actually a pretty common misconception for all the Muggles out there. Although you’ll usually see Cold and Frozen Butterbeer at the entrance of Hogsmeade and Diagon, these aren’t the only options you can find in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter!
- Pick The Right Time of Year to Visit The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
- Get to Universal Studios Hollywood early.
- Join Harry Potter on The Forbidden Journey Ride.
- Find Your Wand at Ollivanders.
- Ride Flight of The Hippogriff.
- Taste Butterbeer.
- Eat at Three Broomsticks.

Aug 9, 2022 · Flight of the Hippogriff is the second ride in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood, and it's charming. The queue line is a bit boring, but it does feature Hagrid's Hut, set on a hill near the entrance to the queue. The lines for this ride can sometimes get a bit long, but it tends to stay reasonable most of the day.
