As of 0.129.0 on iOS, Pokémon Go is asking me to allow camera access every time I tap on a Pokémon. I intentionally have camera permissions disabled, as I don’t use any of the AR features.
I have blocked camera use in the setting (iOS) settings because I don’t want to use the camera features and frankly I don’t want the app to have access to it. AR is also turned off in the game settings. Every time I tap a pokemon, a screen shows up saying it can’t access the camera and to turn it on and when I tap ok I encounter the pokemon.
