Sep 1, 2022 · I loved this book. I read the whole series in about a week. Absolutely amazing. We had to make a digital poster for school and of course I did it on the last one, The Final Gambit. I love how Toby told Avery at the end of The Hawthorne Legacy, “You have a daughter.” Avery says. “No I have two,” Toby replies. BEST SERIES EVER.
She could have easily given 20 billion to charity and gave a billion to each Hawthorne brother, Zara, Libby, and Max. Tobias Hawthorne accomplished what he wanted to achieve by bringing Avery to Hawthorne house, and the threat of the Blakes was neutralized. There’s no reason she couldn’t have given them some of their intended inheritance.

It wasn't as strong as the first book but it was definitely better than book two. A couple times the plot was a bit drawn out and I had one "that's it?" reaction, but a solid 4 stars from me. SPOILERS BELOW. I thought it was good enough. I like that she threw grandpa under the bus in the end.
