Jul 28, 2006 · A well-modded 2600 feeding a broadcast-quality RF modulator into a good TV set should be able to give a picture just about as good as a modded 2600 feeding a composite monitor. Unfortunately, since a distortion-free RF modulator that properly modulates the audio is complicated and expensive to build, Atari uses a much simpler circuit that kinda sorta works.

Mar 1, 2017 · Remove as much solder from the 2 joints on the side as you can, and then use desoldering braid for the rest - after that, just pull the board out.. like so -. Make a few tests - it's a bad IC this time, just a transistor array. DON'T install an IC socket for this repair... solder the array directly to the board.
