Feb 26, 2024 · If you start your trip on YRT or TTC, you will have a two-hour transfer window to transfer onto GO. Upon tapping onto GO, you will then have a three-hour transfer window to transfer to YRT or TTC. Please note that children (ages six to 12) must tap their PRESTO card on and off GO Transit to ride free on YRT.

Aug 22, 2018 · Starting this weekend on Sunday August 26th, the TTC will officially introduce the 2-hour transfer window. This feature will only be available to riders who have a PRESTO card. So, if you’re someone who’s using cash or tokens to pay for your ride, right now you’ll be out of luck here.

So if begin my trip at a subway station, I can buy a one or two ride Presto ticket and I'll have a two hour transfer. But if I begin my trip on a bus or streetcar and pay in cash, I'd get a transfer (from the driver on a bus, from the machine on a streetcar) and I would not have a two hour transfer.
