Jun 29, 2021 · The Task Team on Equitable Access to Virtual Care (Equity Task Team) was created under the Virtual Care Expert Working Group with a mandate to develop a principle-based framework for equitable access to virtual care and provide guidance and recommendations on the concrete actions that FPT governments can take to ensure that virtual care promotes equity as a critical dimension of quality care.
Virtual urgent care centres also saw increased usage over the 2 fiscal years in operation. Visit volumes rose from close to 8,000 in 2020–2021 to over 27,000 in 2021–2022 due to an increased duration of operation within the fiscal year as well as to increased awareness and use of the service.
