I would say that infernum is easier than the infamous malice mode had been, because that crap was by far the worst thing about calamity. As for infernum, I do find it on par with death mode, but its identity is completely different than the latter, it is intended to be a beautiful dance, not 5 minutes of flying around Devourer of Gods and dying to a lag spike.
