Personally I prefer SSX 2012, but SSX 3 is definitely better in some ways, like the fun style of the tracks and the amount of tricks you can do. Ssx3 is the best ssx imo and ive played pretty much every ssx. Tricky individual track design is superior but as an overall experience 3 reigns supreme.

Yeah, the character interactions in SSX 3 were a step down from Tricky. I don't like how text messages replaced the cutscenes, especially since every character sends the same pre-baked messages to you... and they can send those messages to you WHILE they're in the middle of a race themselves. Talk about breaking immersion.
