May 18, 2010 · (The iMac was ordered recently so it hasn't arrived yet.) The space appears to be about 20.5" in height and according to Apple's specs the 27" iMac is 20.4" so it ought get into the space with a tight fit (although I'm not sure I measured the height of the space accurately enough).
