I would suggest that this "Math" is relative to both the circumstances of the consumer (income/budget, costs of traveling to the store, time to get there etc.) and the purchase completed with the rain check (amount of savings, quantity, frequency of occurrence of the sale). In other words, the math can work out, or it might not.
Oct 5, 2023 · I just noticed in the flyer for Ontario starting Oct. 5, No Frills is now offering Rain Checks on their current flyer deals plus 10% back in PC Optimum points. Freshco and Food Basics already offer rain checks plus 10% off the price so this isn't as good. Rain checks are only good for 14 days for the date of issue.

Rain check please (with an additional 10% off thanks to eclectric12's re-alert) issued for "4 of those items" .... total savings $22.00. Item is now back on "sale" but at $7.99. Skip for now.
