I've always had an issue with my computer running Minecraft modpacks slowly specifically, but it can run + load games like ARK and Battlefield quickly. It takes me 20+ minutes to load 100+ mod modpacks. I have an SSD with 50 GB free space, assigning 6GB of RAM and an i7-8700 processor.
Look, you have 4G of RAM totally, you cant dedicate all 4 to minecraft, because there's a lot to do on background. The max that you can set is 2G. But i think, what basically happens is java eats more ram, than your pc has. From what i understand, you won't be able to launch this modpack with current set up. Sorry.

Please, anyone knows how youtubers do to load their modpacks quickly, I can't even imagine DW20 spending 4-5 minutes just to load up his FTB pack to start to record his LP series, on my side I have a SSD drive and all my Minecraft modpacks are on it to speed up load times but I can't understand why it takes 5 minutes to load ...

Since some said that what causing it to be load slower is the ore dictionary that gregtech do while it loads at least in 1.6.4. Haven't tried gregtech 1.7 just yet. Z.
Aside from that, honestly the sheer size of packs nowadays. Smaller packs could always load in just a few seconds but the 200 mod heavy packs with thousands of items, blocks, textures and unique things to load into memory and register just take too much time.

May 14, 2020 · My Revelation Modpack takes a little less than 7 minutes to load every time. Is there any way i can make it faster? And what causes the long loading time, 'cause i see some people load it in 2-3 minutes. Specs: Intel i5-9300HF 2,4GHz 8GB RAM
