Oct 17, 2023 · I bought the Microsoft Surface Studio for work, 2 two weeks ago and i noticed it heats up and the battery does not last up to 3hrs. I returned the PC and got another surface studio today this time everything works fine except the battery drains really fast.
Just got my SLS 2 yesterday. After charging it up and doing all the Windows updates, I wanted to test battery life. I did this before any software was installed. Both tests are using the Edge browser. Brightness was set at 50, which is halfway. Tests were with wifi, and about 60 feet from the router with a couple of walls in the way.
Today it's been on for an hour, no external display, 40% brightness, just light browsing, no processes in background, and still it drains more than 15% per hour, which gives an expected battery life of about 6 hours, with basically no load.
