As of right now, backpacks have been disabled 15 days! There comes a point where enough is enough - players deserve to have access to their inventories without having to constantly block access to it.
Dec 5, 2013 · We ran into some pretty big issues with backpacks in the last few weeks, and it does include today. We've reached our "last straw" and have to disable backpacks for a little while.

tldr: — "echest" is now "storage". — instead of putting backpacks in echest pages, you put them in storage. basically backpacks, builder wands, farming pouches, etc cannot be in echest anymore, and backpacks are now extra ec pages. — backpacks can only be removed from storage when empty.

Backpacks can be used in a combination with the Storage system as a way of storing items. Backpacks can be placed into the Storage menu by dragging it in with the mouse. Once there, the Backpack can be opened upon left-clicking.
