    • Waterfall 1 – Sgwd Clun-Gwyn
    • Waterfall 2 – Sgwd Isaf Clun-Gwyn
    • Waterfall 3 – Sgwd Y Pannwr
    • Waterfall 4 – Sgwd Yr Eira

    Easier

The viewpoint for waterfall 1 – Sgwd Clun-Gwyn, is easy to come across. Continue along the path and you’ll hear the waterfall before you see it. The viewpoint is to the right. There are signposts and signs about the waterfall at the right turning so it’s not hard to miss.

I accidentally took a right turning before getting to the viewpoint on the right, this track took me down to the river, across the river on a small bridge and to aviewpoint on the other side, this side seems much more hidden and if you have time on your Brecon Beacons Waterfalls Walk I recommend walking to this side and then walking back. From here you can also keep walking along the river to see waterfall 2 from a high viewpoint too! But at this stage, from what I could see I had to walk all...

    Easier

To get to waterfall 2 – Sgwd Isaf Clun-Gwynthe path is not that obvious and is a bit tricky. From waterfall 1 viewpoint walk down towards the river and there is a rocky footpath that takes you along the river. After going over some rocks down and along the river you will see the dangerous path sign below. At this stage you can follow the footpath back up which is the recommended route and therefore the easier route, however, this route will not take you as close to waterfall 2 Sgwd Isaf Clun-...

    Harder

If you decide to walk along the dangerous path, which from my experience was not that dangerous, despite recent heavy rain then you will come to the top of waterfall 2- Sgwd Isaf Clun-Gwynwhich is a good viewpoint on the waterfall walk Brecon Beacons. But if you continue down the side, which is a bit tricky but not too bad, you will come right to the bottom of the waterfall which is really impressive to see!

    Easier

Find the main gravel path again and follow the signs for the last waterfall which is Sgwd Yr Eira and then you will see a path to the right which does down. This is a main track however there are a lot of big stones that make up the path, followed by some steps to the waterfall. The base of the waterfall is very open and you can get close to the waterfall. I saw people here Wirth tripods taking photos of the falls. I liked this waterfall but I didn’t find it overly impressive out of all 4 wat...

    Harder

To follow the harder route and more interesting route, from the base of waterfall 2 to waterfall 3 you continue along the rivers edge. This is rocky in parts but then it opens into a fixed footpath with wooden boards to show you are on the right track. Because you are following the river, this path then opens up out at waterfall 3 – Sgwd y Pannwr, from the river, and is a different approach than the easier route mentioned above.

    Easier & Harder

From waterfall 3, to get to Waterall 4, there is only one option of how to get there! Follow the steps and the rocky footpath back up to the main footpath and continue along it for 10 minutes which is an easy and flat walk. The right turning down to Sgwd Yr Eira which is the main waterfall people seem to want to visit on the Brecon Beacons waterfall walk is very obvious. To get to the waterfall you have to walk down some big steps, I’d say there is about 100 steps which zig zag down. At the b...
