Now that 1.18 changed the hostile mob spawning light level from 7 to 0, I wanted to test how many blocks just one torch covers. So... One torch covers 365 blocks, and a 3x3 torch layout (with a 25 block gap) covers 3,121 blocks. The lowest the light level gets is 1.
