I have therefore made some averages, based on what I’ve heard from publishers and agents at children’s book events, and from research and reading.
Sep 1, 2019 · This collection of maths stories for young children contains 9 sets of books, 27 books all together from the maths learning centre. Each set of maths story books contain a variety of maths themed picture books, from counting, to shapes, to snowflakes.
What about those that consist of 4 books, or 5 books, or 6, or 7, or even just 2 books? I’ve been wondering about this for quite a while now. I did discover, a while back, the term for a series of 4 books (because my personal favorite series has 4 books in it): a “tetralogy”.

Jun 13, 2016 · Tier two books have an engaging plot and weave math into the story. While the connection to math is fairly obvious, the story could stand on it’s own. Tier three books are books that are not necessarily written to focus on a specific math skill, but could easily be used to make connections to math.

I would use inclusion-exclusion. Count the total ways to distribute the books. Subtract three times the number of ways to give them to a specific pair. But you have subtracted the ways to gove them all to one child twice (paired once with each of the others) so add them in once.
